Maryam is a third-year Ph.D. candidate at The Rockefeller University studying RNA biology. She founded ArtLab in Fall 2012 to explore and illuminate the creativity inherent in the scientific practice through the lens of art. Since then, ArtLab has evolved into a public conversation series based in Brooklyn, with the discussion continuing online through a blog at thisisartlab.org.
