Marco Mason is holding a Ph.D in Design Sciences which he obtained after conducting an extensive research about the design of mobile-based visitor experience for museums. Since 2003 he has carried on different research and teaching activities in the field of digital media design for heritage. He carrying on a post doctoral research project, as Marie Curie fellow, title “Digital Media for Heritage: Refocusing Design from the Technology to the Visitor Experience” that aims to investigate design theory and practices of digital media for heritage. The research is conjunctly conducted by: the School of Museum Studies (University of Leicester, UK); MIT Science, Technology, and Society Program and MIT Museum (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA)
